We waited a long time to put up the tree because I knew it was going to be a challenge to keep the kids away from it due to the fact that the only place we had room for it was right in the middle of the living room. This year we borrowed a fake tree from my parents, partially because we were all sick for about two weeks and didn't have the energy to go out and cut down a tree. We took down the tree last night and the kids helped Mike put the branches in the box.
This year I had hoped to make the kids some stockings but I didn't have a pattern, so I tried anyway and it didn't work out so well. So I'll have to try again next year. Fortunately the kids had their stockings from last year I was able to use.

We spent Christmas Eve with Mike's family and the kids had a blast. We gathered at his sister Amber's first and then migrated over to his Aunt and Uncle's house afterwards.
Christmas morning we spent together at our house and then had everyone over at our house at 1pm with Grandpa Maurice, Uncle Brent, Grandpa Craig, Grandma Christi, Uncle Chris and Aunt Lindsey. Chris and Linsdey brought over Carlia who is Michael Jr's age. Carlia is the daughter of one of Lindsey's girlfriends who is in Seattle for some major medical problems with blood clots just after the birth of her second child a few weeks ago. We had a really good time and the kids played well together.
At 3pm we all went over to Cousin Janet and Kevin's home for Christmas Dinner and had good fellowship with family (already listed) and friends April with daughters Sierra and Kiana as well as Wanda and her mother, Helen. Uncle Brent made Grandma Angie's pies for dessert and they turned out well (see picture).
