Pre-School Day

Today was my turn to host the Pre-School get together. Since next week is Thanksgiving I thought it would be rather appropriate to focus on things we are thankful for. The kids made turkeys and I asked them what they were thankful for as they were coloring their turkeys, and I wrote them on their turkey feathers. They also had a really good time pulling all the pillows off the couch and all the toys out of their bins. Of course, the real highlight is eating their lunches from their lunch boxes.

Visiting Auke Bay Fire Dept. with Dad

This week has been the first week in a long time that we've had Mike around in the evenings due to his ETT and fire fighter training schedule. He has a break for now until the next round of trainings (but he still has his Thursday nights tied up).

So, we thought that Michael Jr. would enjoy spending some one-on-one time with dad and go to the Auke Bay Fire Department to check out the Fire Truck. The on-duty fire fighter also gave him a 'goodie bag' filled with all sorts of fun 'fire' stuff.

Twin Surprise!

We were quite shocked to learn yesterday that we're pregnant with twins! This is going to be a complicated and high-risk pregnancy. There is a possibility during this first trimester that we could lose one of the babies (and of course we want to end up with two healthy babies!). We are in week 6 according to the ultrasound technician - although I was sure that we were farther along! We are asking for your prayers at this time. This is going to be quite the transition physically and emotionally for me as things progress. I have already gained a few pounds and am starting to stick out a bit much sooner that I had imagined I would (of course, this is my 3rd pregnancy and I have to have room for two!).

Well, we'll keep you all posted. I've got to sign off now, Michael is doing something to Connor.

Halloween Fun

Michael Jr. & Cousin Ashely

We didn't do too much trick-or-treating, but we sure had a full night!

Michael Jr. dressed up as Handy Manny (Disney Character) with things we had around the house and Connor was a Fire Man - I had a rain jacket and boots for him already and Mike brought home the hat.

We went to the Church for fun, games and dinner - Michael's favorite game was the Cake Walk. We also dropped by to trick-or-treat with family and spent some time at my parent's and had Jr. hand out candy - he had a blast.

It was so funny - when Jr. handed out candy at my parent's each time he gave candy out, he had to give himself a piece too!
