OK, Here's the picture of me and my big belly. I'll try to post one once a month, mainly for me, to see how I'm changing.

Busy, Busy Weekend

Well, this is the busiest weekend we've had in a long time.

Friday night it started out with my brother Christopher & Lindsey's rehersal dinner at Mi Casa.

Then it started up again Saturday morning - Mike and I got up and started working on the food (egg rolls, pot stickers and BBQ pork) for the wedding reception and worked on it all the way up until we left for the wedding that started at 1pm. After the wedding we stayed for family pictures then ran home to grab the food before rushing down to the Yacht Club. We were at the reception till 5:30pm and the kids had such a great time and burned tons of energy (and no nap yesterday) that they went straight to bed when we got home. Mike and I unwound and watched I don't remember what on TV and then went to bed.

Then, because Mike's mom was also in town this weekend and we had no other time to really get a good visit in with her, we were able to have her over for brunch on Sunday. The kids managed to get a nap before we went to my mom's just an hour and a half after our visit with Grammie to have a Seafood feed with my mom's family. Wow! Come to think of it, this may be the busiest weekend I've ever had!

Cogswell Family Get Together

Later this afternoon we all got together with my mother's family - I think there were 19 of us, if I counted correctly. My grandmother was here from Michigan and my uncle and his wife were here from Florida for Christopther & Lindsey's Wedding. Tonight we had a big Seafood feed at my mom & dad's - shrimp, salmon, halibut... It was delicious!

A Visit with Grammie

Mike's mom was also in town this weekend (for work) and in between all the wedding to-do's we were able to squeeze in some quality time late this morning and early afternoon before she leaves early tomorrow.

I made a big brunch - which I hadn't done in a long time and was just praying that I wouldn't burn anything since it requires coordination. I managed to cook everything just right - bacon, hashbrowns, french toast and homemade raspberry and blackberry syrup, eggs two ways along with some honeydew melon and watermelon.

Grammie had brought Michael Jr's birthday presents for his 3rd birthday - which isn't until February 23rd - and we let him open them today so he could enjoy them with Grammie still here. He scored big time and got all 'Cars' stuff - a book pillow, sleeping bag and several 'Cars.'

Christopher & Lindsey's Wedding 1/24/09

My brother, Christopher, married his sweetie this Saturday, January 24th at 1pm. It was a very nice and simple wedding at the Church and the reception was at the Yacht Club. The kids had a lot of fun dancing. I didn't get as many (good) pictures as I had hoped, so I'll be waiting for the photographer's.

Twin Positions

I'm only 15 1/2 weeks now, but this picture pretty much describes how the twins are situated at 16 weeks. I have already gained an astonishing 15 lbs! Slower please! I really need to start being more picky about what I'm eating and get more of the good stuff (fruits and veges) so I'm not storing it all in my hips and thighs! Ugh. Anyway, I'm just happy the twins are growing and are healthy little buggers.

Yesterday while driving I felt movement for about 5 minutes, lots of kicking in my ribs from the 'top bunk.' I can't wait to feel both of them going at it at the same time! It'll feel like a boxing match.
I do have to say that I'm sticking out quite a bit more than that picture above is displaying. I'll have to get Mike to take a side view of my growing belly and I'll try to post that sometime in the near future.

January Ultrasound

Boy, I sure feel lucky with all these ultrasounds! Here's a great picture of one of the twins from today's ultrasound. They're too big for both of them to fit in the picture now. They're stacked on top of each other like sleeping on bunk beds. This is the one on the 'top' bunk. You can see the baby's head to knee and he's facing up.

December Ultrasound

I've been a bit busy lately and haven't had time to post. In part because my oldest, Michael Jr., is rarely taking naps these days and also I'm trying to get thru some 'mini' organizing projects.

This is the December Ultrasound picture of the twins heads, you can see the one on the left much clearer (looks like he's looking at you).
