Frugal Friday

This is my first post to Frugal Friday on Life As Mom

I've been wanting to participate in this for sometime now, but I've forgotten or have been too busy.

Today I'll keep it simple...

I try to save my plastic baggies, tin foil and plastic wrap - wash and reuse!  I purchased (several years ago) a hanging baggie dryer and I love it!  I actually need two, since sometimes I don't get around to washing my baggies everyday.  I will save them up for a week or two weeks sometimes and have a baggie washing marathon day!  Then I have to hang some by clothes pins because I've run out of room.

I am sure you save lots of $ by reusing your bags and foil. My problem would be to get the kids to save their bags. I just don't picture them wanting to bring the bags home after school. I think it is great that you can do this. :-)

it's been hard to get mike to bring bags home, but he's slowly working on it. I really have been meaning to sew some fabric snack bags and sandwich bags but haven't gotten around to it yet...

I was so confused by your picture at first, but then it all made sense when I read your comments.
I admire you for washing out your baggies. I tried doing it in Japan for a while, but gave it up because it's so humid there--like here! Shawn grew up with his mom and grandma doing this, so that may be part of why I don't like doing it. Call it my way of being rebellious. Ha!
I too have been wanting to make some fabric baggies. *sigh*....one day right?
